executive director
Jim brings a wealth of experience to his role as Executive Director, from his time as a linguist and Bible translator in rural Nigeria, to working as a management consultant for several years, and to executive leadership roles in higher education and faith-based organizations. Jim is thrilled to be serving These Numbers Have Faces because it combines his passion for working with young adults with his deep love for Africa. Scovia is a graduate from National University of Rwanda and has experience working with local and international aid organizations. Scovia loves to interact with people, which is why she is a perfect fit for These Numbers Have Faces, where she said she is living out her dreams to help empower others.

FRANCOISE MUGOREWASE
Alumni Coordinator – RWANDA
From an early age, Francoise watched her single mother work hard to provide for her children and send them to school. Francoise credits her family, community, and the support of non-profit organizations for where she is today — in a position to help Rwandan students rise up to be the leaders they were born to be!

ERICKSON MUGISHA
UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP PROGRAM COORDINATOR – RWANDA
Erickson joined These Numbers Have Faces in May 2023. Erickson is a TNHF alum, graduating in 2023 with a degree in Law. During his time as a TNHF scholar, Erickson showed incredible leadership skills. Notably, he was elected President of the Student Association for the University of Rwanda – Huye Campus. He was responsible for leading the 8,000 students on this campus! He is well known for his leadership abilities, not just in Huye, but throughout Rwanda. When he’s not working with our scholars, Erickson loves listening to music and enjoys playing piano.

MILLIE DOBMEYER
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS & DONOR STEWARDSHIP
Millie has a background in social service delivery and nonprofit organizations, and is passionate about working with youth and education. She first connected with These Numbers Have Faces as a volunteer and eventually transitioned to a full-time staff member. Having previously lived in Portland for two years, Millie now resides in her hometown of Chicago. When she’s not working on communication strategies for These Numbers Have Faces, she enjoys reading, running, writing, and baking.

In 2008, from the couch of his apartment Justin founded These Numbers Have Faces by helping one friend from South Africa attend university. Justin holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from Westmont College and an MA in International Conflict Resolution from Portland State University. He writes at justinzoradi.com where you can pick up his book, Doing Work That Matters. An obsessive soccer fan and weekend landscaper, Justin lives in Portland, Oregon with his lovely wife Trisha, daughter Josephine, and their backyard chickens.

Kris Kuhn

ENGLISH TEACHER, MARK MORRIS HIGH SCHOOL- LONGVIEW, WA
Kris is a career educator. She grew up in Hong Kong and began teaching in 1986. Her journey has included marriage, two children, growing in faith, and accomplishing her PhD in Education. She and her husband, Bill, travel when they can, and enjoy immersing themselves in authentic, cultural experiences. Kris is honored to serve on the board for These Numbers Have Faces and is excited to contribute whatever she can to promote its mission.

Courtney LeBoeuf

Broker, Hasson Company Realtors
Courtney has been a realtor in the Portland Metropolitan area since 2013, she focuses on residential real estate. After traveling to Rwanda with These Numbers Have Faces in 2018, Courtney found a passion for helping students reach their full potential. Courtney loves to visit the Oregon Coast and go fly fishing with her husband, two kids, and their black pug dog, Oscar. Courtney attends Horizon Christian Church in Tualatin.

Claude Nsengiyumva

CASE MANAGER & RESEARCH ASSISTANT, AFRICAN FAMILY HOLISTIC HEALTH ORGANIZATION
Claude was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. However, because of ethnic conflict, Claude and his family fled to Rwanda where he grew up in the Gihembe Refugee Camp. Claude was a These Numbers Have Faces scholar, graduating from the University of Rwanda with a degree in education and psychology. Claude and his family were resettled to Portland, Oregon. Because of his experiences growing up and what he learned through These Numbers Have Faces, Claude is committed to serving others. He loves his work as a Case Manager with African Family Holistic Health Organization, where he uses his own story to help others. He is thrilled to be able to give back to These Numbers Have Faces by serving on the Board.

BENSON NSANZABANDI
BOARD MEMBER
ACCOUNTANT, LEWIS AND CLARK COLLEGE
Benson was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. However, because of ethnic conflict and the ongoing civil war, Benson and his family fled to Rwanda where he grew up in the Gihembe Refugee Camp. Benson was one of the first These Numbers Have Faces scholars in Rwanda, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Rwanda, with a concentration in accounting. He is currently an MBA candidate at Willamette University’s Atkinson School of Management. Benson came to the U.S. in 2019, and now lives in Portland, Oregon. Because of his experiences growing up and what he learned through These Numbers Have Faces, Benson is compassionate and empathetic about young leaders struggling to pursue their dream of a university education. He is thrilled to be able to give back to These Numbers Have Faces by serving on the Board.
