JOURNEY
- September 13, 2021 – Teta shared her favorite song and what it means to her: “The song I enjoy listening to is “Just Be You” by Anthem Lights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMdorcXzfj0. The reason I enjoy listening to this song is that it’s full of encouragement. In life, you may fall down. You may fail at some point and many things may bother you so that you wish you can be somebody else. You may feel less important and you may think you are useless at some point. But I have learned that anything you may be passing through doesn’t change the fact that you are unique. You have that thing within you that nobody can change. So, with this song, I learned that I’m me and the uniqueness within me is important. And that’s why I have to try so hard to be a better version of myself.”
- July 16 , 2021 – Teta shared what resilience means to her: “To me, resilience is the ability a person has to resist or to recover quickly in the difficult situations he or she is facing. So, to me, resilience is something important because when you’re able to recover quickly, you can forgive quickly and you can love more.”
- March 1, 2021 – Teta said her biggest lessons from 2020 were: “In 2020, I learned that tomorrow is not promised. This means that we have to do what is supposed to be done in the right time. And I learned that a person can’t live on his or her own, we may think that’s a better life to have or simply living is because of our hard-working but no, we live because God has gifted us that life.”
Teta’S CIRCLE
BIO
Teta was born and raised in a big family. Though their family wasn’t that big, there were four children, but Teta’s parents took responsibility for some children in the extended family who were orphans. So growing up, Teta learned about being responsible as well as being grateful for each and everything she had. Her father worked so hard for them to have a great future, and this inspired her to be clever, as all she wanted was to make him proud. Teta also wanted to work hard to help her younger siblings. Now Teta is studying Business Administration. One day she will be able to build her own business, which will have a great impact on the community. Outside of her studies, Teta enjoys helping people in many ways. Since she likes psychology, in her free time she reads books and takes free online courses about psychology. Teta also enjoys serving at her church, where she is a preacher in Sunday school.
