Steven grew up in Rwanda alongside his parents and 5 siblings. Growing up, Steven’s family faced significant financial challenges, which often impacted his ability to study. Throughout the years, some things improved for his family, like food security. Steven saw many in his community experience challenges such as addiction and difficulty paying children’s school fees. Steven’s experiences growing up have helped shape his future. 

Now, Steven is studying Business Administration at the Adventist University of Central Africa. After graduating, he hopes to use his experience and skills to mentor and empower youth in his community. He also hopes to provide business management training to small business owners. 

When he’s not in class, Steven is passionate about community transformation and working to lift up his family and his country.
