Ritah Peace grew up in a family with five siblings. Ritah Peace lived in various places, but was born in Uganda. When she was three, her family moved to Kigali and then, later, a small village in the Eastern Province of Rwanda. Eventually, Ritah Peace and her family moved back to Kigali. Growing up, her family practiced subsistence farming to secure daily meals. However, paying school fees was a constant struggle. Ritah Peace’s mom eventually fell ill and died after a four year health battle. Ritah Peace’s father has also struggled to find employment, which has caused considerable financial hardship for her family. Her family has remained united and supportive of each other, despite these difficulties. 

Now, Ritah Peace attends the Adventist University of Central Africa, studying Finance.  Ritah hopes to be a leader in her community, mobilizing people for diverse projects. She believes that, through collective efforts, people can uplift their local communities.  

Outside of the classroom, Ritah Peace is active in her church and enjoys supporting her peers.
