JOURNEY
- March 1, 2023 – In a recent Leadership Development Workshop, we explored the question, “How can you make sure the pain of your past doesn’t determine your future?” What stood out and meant the most to you in this workshop? Princesse said: “There is this sentence that I got from this workshop that says, ‘to change your life you should change your mindset’ and this helped me to understand that the pain of my past shouldn’t determine my future. Instead, my mindset can help me build the best future I want by thinking positively.”
- September 8, 2022 – Princesse discussed the biggest changes in her life since the end of the COVID restrictions: “Personally, I am an introverted person and most of the time I enjoyed being alone in my room. I never valued being around people that I love, or the freedom of going to any place at any time, until COVID restrictions were put in place. This is when I realized that when I’m around people I am quiet but I love it. By the end of these restrictions my life changed because I no longer hide myself under my blanket in my room and instead I go out and meet my friends, make new ones, and I am learning a lot from all the people I meet. I learned to live my one day as the last day because I saw how everything can change in the blink of an eye.”
Princesse’S CIRCLE
BIO
Princesse was born to a small family of five siblings (two of whom are not biological siblings) and is happy and blessed with them and both parents. Life in the family was really great and there seemed to be no big trouble until her father, who had the big role of providing school fees and other financial support to the family, became sick with blood cancer. Being the only daughter of the family gave Princesse huge responsibilities in the family. These responsibilities helped her grow the great spirit of leadership because she had to lead all her siblings, even her two older brothers. Princesse loves to serve people with food and her passion of serving food to people led her to studying agriculture where she hopes to help her country boost the harvest and, in doing so, reduce the number of people who die because of hunger. Princesse also wants to do her best to help her family find school fees for her young brother. In her free time, Princesse enjoys reading and dancing.
