JOURNEY

    • March 1, 2023 – In a recent Leadership Development Workshop, we explored the question, “How can you make sure the pain of your past doesn’t determine your future?” What stood out and meant the most to you in this workshop? Kevine said: “To first believe in God. Also, I learned to work hard and try to let go of our past and believe in ourselves.”
    • September 8, 2022 – Kevine said the biggest change in her life has been: “The biggest change is that I have learned many lessons like saving, resilience, always helping each other, and to always be ready for any situation.”
    • September 13, 2021 – Kevine shared her favorite song and what it means to her: “One of the songs I listen to a lot is “Lord, I Need You” by Matt Maher: https://youtu.be/LuvfMDhTyMA. This song helps me when I am in a bad mood. It helps me to be happy and it helps me to think of all the blessings that God has given me. It helps me to be thankful for everything. This song also helps me when I am having difficulties. It helps me to stay in faith.”
    • July 16, 2021 – Kevine shared what resilience means to her: “Resilience is the ability of a person to recover from a difficult situation as quick as possible.”
    • March 1, 2021 – Kevine said her biggest lesson from 2020 was: “I learned that we must be prepared for any bad thing by saving and we must help our neighbors and other people in general. We must live with others in peace and put our trust in the Lord in all situations.”

BIO

Kevine was born in a family of two children. Her father died while she was still young. And then her mom died when she was in high school. She lived with her grandma and her younger sister. Kevine lived in a community which helped her to know how to live with others and taught her to help people. In her secondary school, it was hard for her to find school fees. By the help of God, she got a sponsor who helped her to pay school fees.

Kevine is the first in her family to attend university. Her dream is to become a nurse and be able to help sick people and save their lives, and also help her community. Kevine can’t wait to get all the knowledge and skills so her dreams can become true.

In her spare time, Kevine likes reading books. She is a member of the Red Cross Club, where they help sick people with first aid. Kevine likes singing and swimming.
