BIO

Joseph was born and raised in the eastern part of Rwanda. Joseph grew up in a large family, with his parents and many siblings. The community where he grew up had limited social services, such as hospitals, schools, and infrastructure. This reality often made it challenging for Joseph to attend school, receive medical treatment, and access other basic daily resources. While these challenges were difficult, Joseph relied on patience, hard work, and prayer to become who he is today. 

Today, Joseph is studying Accounting at Adventist University of Central Africa. Joseph’s goal is to become a financial analyst and consultant within a business or organization. As a TNHF scholar, he also hopes to use his leadership skills to become a leader or CEO, working towards increasing Rwanda’s GDP and contributing to Africa’s economic growth. He hopes his degree will lead to professional and economic opportunities, allowing him to improve standards of living for him, his family, and his community.  

When he’s not studying, Joseph enjoys playing soccer and volleyball, running, and hiking. He is also interested in public speaking, entrepreneurship, and strengthening his leadership skills.
