JOURNEY

    • April 16, 2024 – Our students shared what was most meaningful to them from our recent Leadership Development Workshop. Isaac said: “The most meaningful takeaway from the compassionate leadership workshop was the emphasis on empathy. It truly resonated with me how effective leaders prioritize understanding and acknowledging the emotions of their team members. This shift from a purely task-oriented approach to one that considers the human aspect was refreshing. The concept of creating a safe space for open communication resonated deeply. Leaders who foster an environment where team members feel comfortable sharing their struggles can build stronger bonds and cultivate a more supportive work atmosphere. This, I believe, is the foundation for a truly engaged and productive team. Compassionate leadership isn’t about weakness; it’s about strength. Recognizing that everyone faces challenges and offering support demonstrates a leader’s emotional intelligence and builds trust. As a TNHF scholar who is being trained to become an agent of change, I left the workshop feeling empowered to integrate these principles into my own leadership style.”

Isaac’S CIRCLE

BIO

Isaac grew up in a family of fourteen. Growing up, his family faced many challenges and difficulties. Life was hard. But his family wasn’t alone in facing so many challenges and difficulties. So many other families in his community also faced significant hardships. This only made Isaac all the more passionate about finding a way to improve life, not just for himself, but also for his family and his community.

Isaac attends East African Christian College, where he is studying Monitoring & Evaluation. Isaac is passionate about being a problem solver. His dream is to start a business in his local area that will use effective monitoring and evaluation to grow commercial agriculture in Rwanda, as well as to modernize agriculture throughout the country to increase productivity, ensure sustainability, and bring greater prosperity to people..

Isaac also hopes one day to create a Community Development Centre that will provide training to grow new skills and create new understanding, especially in the lives of young people.

In addition to his studies, Isaac serves as a worship leader and as the President of the youth in his church.
