Faith was born into a family of nine, with five brothers and one sister. Faith grew up in a community that traditionally faced high illiteracy rates. Community members have tried to change this with younger generations by encouraging some youth to attend school. While this has been a significant step forward, Faith witnessed a gender imbalance when it came to educating girls, with boys typically being the ones sent to school. Faith saw many girls drop out of school, leading to difficulties with low confidence among other developmental challenges. These experiences left Faith determined to finish her education. 

Faith is now studying Finance and Accounting at the University of Rwanda. She is looking forward to completing her program. Faith dreams of being a professional in her field, working with integrity. She hopes her education and career will help provide a better life for her and her family. She also aims to use her degree to help empower individuals and businesses within her community. Faith hopes to use her degree, as well as her experiences growing up, as a way to advocate for girls’ rights. 

Outside of school, Faith likes to spend time with friends, family, and those in her community. She also likes to read and is into sports and adventure!
