Emmanuel grew up in a small, rural community in Rwanda alongside his two brothers, three sisters, parents, and grandmother. Emmanuel’s parents, along with many in his community, depended on farming. His family faced incredible challenges growing up, especially meeting financial and educational needs. Despite these challenges, Emmanuel’s parents encouraged the importance of education and always made sure he attended school. Emmanuel credits his family and his community with teaching him resiliency, the importance of education, unity, and the importance of giving back to his community. 

Emmanuel now studies Finance at the Adventist University of Central Africa. With a degree in Finance, Emmanuel dreams of building a successful career and helping individuals and companies effectively manage their resources. He hopes ultimately to support his community’s economic development. 

Outside of the classroom, Emmanuel enjoys listening to gospel music, being involved in his church, playing soccer, reading novels, watching educational videos, and spending time with friends.
