Jim brings a wealth of experience to his new role, from his time as a linguist and Bible translator in rural Nigeria, to working as a management consultant for several years, and to executive leadership roles in higher education and faith-based organizations. Jim is thrilled to be serving These Numbers Have Faces because it combines his passion for working with young adults with his deep love for Africa.

Scovia is a graduate from National University of Rwanda and has experience working with local and international aid organizations. Scovia loves to interact with people, which is why she is a perfect fit for These Numbers Have Faces, where she said she is living out her dreams to help empower others.

Clement is a numbers guy, and he is excited to use his talents in accounting and finance to encourage Rwanda’s future leaders! He believes Africa is a continent full of life and hope, and he is proud to call it home. When he isn’t busy with These Numbers Have Faces, Clement loves spending time with his wife, Jeannine, swimming, and playing soccer.

From an early age, Francoise watched her single mother work hard to provide for her children and send them to school. Francoise credits her family, community, and the support of non-profit organizations for where she is today — in a position to help Rwandan students rise up to be the leaders they were born to be!

Isaac started his career with a degree in Business Information Technology and a passion for serving others. Before joining These Numbers Have Faces as the University Leadership Program Associate, he worked in many roles for a local telecommunications company. You might say that Isaac loves to communicate! When he isn’t working, Isaac loves to play and watch soccer, swimming, listening to music, and spending time with his family.

Jackie has been part of the These Numbers Have Faces family since she became one of our Rwandan scholars in 2011! After graduating from the School of Finance and Banking with a degree in accounting, and a short time in our office as an intern, she joined our staff as a Program Associate – working with our students, and helping to coordinate our donor trips.

Born and raised in Indiana, Lauren finally fulfilled her dream of moving to the northwest 6 years ago and hasn’t looked back. She loves Africa, long road trips, and dancing in the kitchen. On her off time you can find her exploring the streets of Portland or enjoying the great outdoors with her husband, Levi and daughter, Hatley.
ACCELERATE ACADEMY PROGRAM ASSOCIATE – RWANDA
Nancy brings her experience with International NGO’s to her role as the Accelerate Academy Program Associate. She loves empowering others, and is excited to watch how her skills encourage young entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and impact their communities. In her spare time, you will find Nancy sharing a meal with friends, watching movies, and passing the time with her husband and two beautiful daughters.

Olivier’s vision is to see Rwanda rise. An entrepreneur to his core -the founder of two companies, one in IT and one in agriculture- Olivier is excited to work with young people in his country to become the next generation of creative business leaders. Outside of work, Olivier enjoys watching movies, reading and cooking.

Sarah was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, but school and work have taken her all over the world. While working with street children in Ethopia, she saw the importance of education, and developed a passion for providing access and opportunities to everyone. When not working, you can find her searching out the best parks to take her dog or going for hikes in the Columbia River Gorge.
In 2008, from the couch of his apartment Justin founded These Numbers Have Faces by helping one friend from South Africa attend university. Justin holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from Westmont College and an MA in International Conflict Resolution from Portland State University. An obsessive soccer fan and weekend landscaper, Justin lives in Portland, Oregon with his lovely wife Trisha, daughter Josephine, and their backyard chickens.

Erik is business leader who has developed broad experience with numbers and analytics through his 17 years with Lam Research. His knowledge of financial planning, program management, and business analysis don’t just make him a valuable addition to the Board of These Numbers Have Faces, but also allow him to pour into the businesses being built through the Accelerate Academy. Erik and his family love to stay busy from basketball games to crabbing in the Pacific Ocean!

With over 22 years of healthcare business experience, Brian formed Supero Healthcare Solutions 9 years ago to become a national leader in provider enrollment and credentialing services for medical practices and hospitals across the U.S. Brian has traveled to Rwanda several times to meet with University Students and train Accelerate Fellows in the ways of professional development. Brian brings business expertise and operational insight to the board, as well as a passion for the organization’s impact. He also mentors CEO’s and Executive Directors of Non-Profit Ministries here in the U.S. Brian calls Austin, Texas home with his beautiful wife, Stacey, and their two children.

Brian has been in the financial industry for over 10 years and brings experience from other non-profit boards with him to These Numbers. When he’s not busy being a husband, father to a beautiful baby boy, and working at Fidelity National Title, he volunteers and enjoys giving his time and talents where it can benefit the populations that need it most. One of Brian’s bucket list items is to travel to Africa after hearing stories from his in-laws experiences in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and South Africa.

Janet Campbell is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in business strategy, operations, product and program management, and software and technology development. She is also President and co-founder of KIZIMANI, a nonprofit organization that empowers and builds sustainable communities in Kenya by providing medical care, education and community development.

Ryan has been working in the technology sector for over 15 years. Ryan is the CEO of several companies. He has a passion for building a business culture that empowers employees to do good in the world. He serves on several non-profit boards, with a focus on education. Ryan, along with his wife and two young boys, also runs a local non-profit focused on community youth. Ryan and his wife are in the process of adopting a child from Ethiopia.

Ty has been working in Real Estate Development and Project Management for more than 17 years, in addition to his experience as a Combat Medic for the US Army for more than 8 years.
