Our Team

Justin Zoradi

Founder & CEO

In 2008, from the couch of his apartment Justin founded These Numbers Have Faces by helping one friend from South Africa attend university. Justin holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from Westmont College and an MA in International Conflict Resolution from Portland State University. He writes at justinzoradi.com where you can pick up his book, Doing Work That Matters. An obsessive soccer fan and weekend landscaper, Justin lives in Portland, Oregon with his lovely wife Trisha, daughter Josephine, and their backyard chickens. Read more about our founder.

Tina Anderson

Executive Director

Tina is part-project manager, part-explorer, and uses this skillset building capacity in others in places like Central America and East Africa. In Africa she has been called Mutesi—which may mean princess or may mean prissy. She has called Portland home sweet home for over 15 years and has the tattoos to prove it. Occasionally, she steals a few “snaps,” capturing beautiful moments and collects them in albums. She then returns home to share them with her very annoyed cat, Pearl.

Scotia Mutesi

Managing Director of These Numbers Have Faces

Scovia is a graduate from National University of Rwanda and has experience working with local and international aid organizations. Scovia loves to interact with people, which is why she is a perfect fit for These Numbers Have Faces, where she said she is living out her dreams to help empower others.

Violet Busingye

Managing Director of Accelerate Academy

Violet was born in Uganda and is one of 10 children. She graduated with a degree in business administration and hopes to further her studies in international development. For seven years, Violet has been working with international and local development programs, and helped create more than 500 jobs in Uganda, Malawi and Rwanda! Violet loves dancing and singing, but admits she sometimes sounds like a frog.

Lauren Eads

Director of Development

Born and raised in Indiana, Lauren finally fulfilled her dream of moving to the northwest 4 years ago and hasn't looked back. She loves Africa, long road trips, and dancing in the kitchen. On her off time you can find her exploring the streets of Portland or enjoying the great outdoors with her husband, Levi and daughter, Hatley.

Jackie Mutesi

Program Associate - Rwanda

Jackie has been part of the These Numbers Have Faces family since she became one of our Rwandan scholars in 2011! After graduating from the School of Finance and Banking with a degree in accounting, and a short time in our office as an intern, she joined our staff as a Program Associate - working with our students, and helping to coordinate our donor trips.

Taylor Smith

Development & Community Manager

Taylor is a tree huggin’, deep conversation lovin’ Oregonian with a passion for listening to people’s stories. After graduating from Indiana University with a degree in journalism, she returned to Portland because there is no place like home -- not to mention mountains for skiing, forests for hiking and endless restaurants to share meals with friends.

Olivier Habumugisha

Entrepreneurship Mentor Manager - Rwanda

Olivier’s vision is to see Rwanda rise. An entrepreneur to his core -the founder of two companies, one in IT and one in agriculture- Olivier is excited to work with young people in his country to become the next generation of creative business leaders. Outside of work, Olivier enjoys watching movies, reading and cooking.

Nick Oberg

Creative Director

Nick originally joined These Numbers Have Faces as a volunteer and his first job was to manually perforate handouts for an event! Nick and his wife moved to Portland from Kentucky in 2013, and enjoy the vast culinary opportunities the city has to offer, especially in the form of sugar. Nick is passionate about education, poverty and empowering youth.

Francoise Mugorewase

Finance Manager - Rwanda

From an early age, Francoise watched her single mother work hard to provide for her children and send them to school. Francoise credits her family, community, and the support of non-profit organizations for where she is today -- in a position to help Rwandan students rise up to be the leaders they were born to be!

Keana Lough

Development Coordinator

Keana originally joined the team in 2015 as an intern. She grew up outside of Seattle, and has always lived in the beautiful Northwest. After spending a year backpacking the world, she settled in to Vancouver, Washington where she lives with her husband and two cats. Her free time is consumed with adult ballet classes, the Portland Timbers, and all things Harry Potter.
