Nicholas’S CIRCLE

As a Rwandan born in Uganda, Nicolas didn’t feel settled into his community as a child. He experienced first-hand the result of poor leadership characterised by exclusivity and hatred. This encouraged him to strive for more.

Nicholas has a large family that has faced many challenges. When he was young, he and his siblings made the difficult decision to leave school to provide financial support to their family. Although many of his siblings never went back, Nicolas returned to school and completed his secondary education.

Nicholas is now pursuing a degree in Public Health, working alongside his studies to continue providing for his family. His motivation for this career is to be an advocate for prevention and continue to build up a strong and active health system. His hard work and persistence are a model to his siblings and community.
