Kampire's Circle

T. & M. Hair - Riverside, CA

Kampire is one of nine children in her family and has lived in Kiziba Refugee Camp in Rwanda for nearly 20 years. While she has a strong desire to return to her home country of Congo, through her education, she hopes to become an advocate for refugees and help them rise out of poverty. In Kampire’s culture, women have not always been viewed as leaders, but she believes that to educate a woman is to educate an entire community. Through her degree, Kampire hopes to become a role model for young girls in East Africa.
