JOURNEY

    • September 1, 2019 – Daphine was excited to spend her summer catching up with old friends and sharing with them what she has learned through our program so that they might benefit as well! She also planned out her courses for the next semester and reviewed what she learned in her classes so she wouldn’t forget what she’s worked so hard to study!
    • May 18, 2019 – This semester, Daphine learned for the TNHF training about financial literacy about the importance of living within her means. She said: “Before I used to buy things that I did not plan for, I learned how to use what I have effectively. I also learned that I should always make budgets and use less than my income so I have to save every time I earn something. The main point I took out of this is “if you live within your means, you can be financially independent”.”
    • February 9, 2019 – When asked to define servant leadership, how that applies to her life now, and her future career, Daphine said: “Servant leadership is when a leader puts the interests of others above his/ her own interests. A servant leader relies on persuasion and also cares passionately about the personal and professional growth of each member of his/ her team. As a Christian, I see Jesus as a servant leader. So He encourages me to give my time and concern to help others. Through my career, I see myself implementing servant leadership by helping vulnerable people such as widows and handicapped individuals.”
    • November 19, 2018 – Daphine wants to be known for her loving and caring heart, by helping people through encouraging to be creative in order to fulfill their maximum potential! This semester Daphine hopes give a helping hand to whoever needs her help, either through studying or community service!

Daphine’S CIRCLE

BIO

Although her family struggled, Daphine always knew education was her dream. There were seasons in her childhood when her parents couldn’t afford to pay the school fees, which led to being kicked out of school. But these times of not being in school just encouraged her to work harder and get better grades!

Daphine is excited to earn her degree in Business Management, with the goal of opening her own business! She dreams of forming a business-cooperative with her schoolmates, buying land, and hiring farmers to grow beans and bananas for sale at the local market. Daphine is passionate about employing others while also improving her family’s financial means.

In her spare time, Daphine works with a group that inspires young people to develop their talents. She loves to focus her energy on dance and drama, encouraging others to live positive lives through her talents.
