JOURNEY

    • Jan 25, 2018 – An impactful book for Ben is, Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. He said this book was one of his favorites in high school because it was about things that were actually happening at the time, which was very interesting to him.
    • Dec 18, 2017 – Ben says on Christmas, people eat special foods like, Ishabwe, which is made of meat and rice, they also go to church and dance! A word Ben says he thinks his friends would use to describe him is “welcoming” because he is always talking to people, even if he doesn’t know them.
    • Oct 8 , 2017 – Ben spent the holiday herding in his village and one memorable thing with him is the day he was accepted in THNF leadership program…Ben is excited about renting and living by himself where he hopes to be responsible for his life; he wants to improve his public and leadership skills.

Ben’S CIRCLE

BIO

Ben is a member of a 12 person family, living day-to-day as cattle farmers. Although it is a challenge to provide for so many, Ben is thankful for his family and looks forward to the day that he can support them even more.

He discovered his passion for law and justice early as he watched his neighbors lose everything due to property rights battles, illegal banking practices, and unfair labor practices. As a lawyer, he wants to pursue an atmosphere of equality and understanding throughout Rwanda.

Ben loves giving back to his peers, volunteering to teach students public speaking and holding a leadership role at his current campus.
